Jane Barken
Associate
 Jane Barken has been involved in human services and associated with the late Dr. Wolfensberger for many years. Much of her career has focused on the preparation of new workers for people with intellectual impairments. Her main emphasis is on teaching and training in Social Role Valorization (SRV). She developed some of the earliest online SRV training used at community colleges in Canada. She is a board member for several organizations that use SRV in the implementation of their services, and is a member of the Southern Ontario Training Group, which provides SRV, PASSING, and other related training in Ontario. Jane has presented at SRV workshops in other parts of Canada and the US. She is also a member of the North American Social Role Valorization Council, the SRV Journal editorial board, and the Moral Coherency Study group. Jane has provided hospitality in her home for many people from the US and Australia who are connected with the SRV movement.
